The construction of these modern roads has not only made transportation easier, but is also showing significant economic improvement in the standard of living of women, youth and farmers of rural areas. *Now officials from other states are also coming here to study this development story of Uttar Pradesh and advanced environmental technologies, which sets an example of the working style of the state, Shiv Sahay Awasthi, Chief Executive, Uttar Pradesh State Rural Road Development Agency.
Shri Awasthi said that Uttar Pradesh is committed to adopting new technologies and best practices in rural road construction with the belief of doing “better, not better” work. By implementing the experiences gained from PMGSY Chintan Shivir in the state, rural roads will be made more durable, safe, environment-friendly and in line with future requirements. He said that strong rural road network is an important step towards self-reliant villages, strong rural economy and developed Uttar Pradesh.
He informed that Uttar Pradesh has played a leading role in the country in the use of environment-friendly Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) technology.
