Complete industrial and infrastructure projects expeditiously on priority: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath


Lucknow, October 08:- Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the progress of development projects, industrial investment, energy, skill development, labor welfare and public welfare schemes in the 8th high-level meeting of ‘CM-Samiksha’ on Thursday. The Chief Minister said that the big projects going on in the state should not be limited to mere procedures, they should be implemented in a time bound manner. He said that whether officers of the level of Additional Chief Secretary or officers posted in the field, industrial and infrastructure development projects should be completed expeditiously on priority. Obstacles related to land acquisition, approval, tender and inter-departmental coordination should be resolved immediately.

In the review of expressway projects, it was informed that four tenders have been received for Chitrakoot Link Expressway and the tender process will be completed in October. 80 to 91 percent land has been made available for Farrukhabad, Agra-Lucknow-Purvanchal Link, Jhansi and Jewar Link Expressways. Verification work for Meerut-Haridwar, Vindhya and Vindhya-Purvanchal Spur Expressway has been completed and the process of land acquisition is being taken forward. Taking information about the updated situation from the concerned District Magistrates, the Chief Minister gave instructions to expedite the remaining land related works.

The multi-modal logistics hub of Greater Noida was also reviewed in the meeting. Here, out of 323 hectares, possession of 301 hectares of land has been obtained. The Chief Minister directed to complete the necessary processes expeditiously in industrial and logistics projects. Reviewing the progress of working women’s hostels to increase women’s labor participation, the Chief Minister directed to speed up their construction. He said that along with the construction of hostels, a good and useful policy should also be prepared for their effective operation.

In the review of Zero Poverty Campaign, it was told that out of 12.50 lakh families identified, about 9 lakh have been found eligible for housing. 30,725 houses have been sanctioned under the Chief Minister Housing Scheme. Under the campaign, work is going on to connect eligible families with labor registration, Ayushman card, Antyodaya card, skill training and employment. The Chief Minister said that mere identification of eligible families in the campaign is not enough, it should be ensured that every eligible family gets the benefits of the related schemes.

The Chief Minister directed to provide better facilities to the farmers in the mandis. He said that there should be proper arrangements for cleanliness in the mandis, there should be no waterlogging situation and farmers should not face any kind of inconvenience with their produce. Regular monitoring of market premises and necessary arrangements should be ensured.

In view of the heavy rainfall in many areas in recent times, the Chief Minister reviewed the situation of power supply. He directed that wherever power supply is disrupted, it should be restored immediately. Toll free number should be kept active 24×7 for quick resolution of consumer complaints. It should be ensured that correct and timely electricity bill is available to every consumer. For effective control on power theft and line loss, instructions were given to conduct feeder wise audit and bring out the real situation.

Reviewing fire safety, the Chief Minister directed to ensure valid fire NOC in hospitals, medical colleges and hotels. He asked to complete the renewal process of NOC before its expiry and ensure regular monitoring of fire safety standards.

Reviewing 279 projects of the Public Works Department costing more than ₹ 50 crore, the Chief Minister directed to complete all the work on time as per the contract. Reviewing the progress of digital libraries in Gram Panchayats, it was reported that libraries are being established in 11,350 Gram Panchayats with a cost of ₹454 crore. Of these, 100 percent NBT books and 96 percent furniture have been delivered and studies have started in 99 percent libraries. The Chief Minister directed to expedite the remaining hardware supply and regular monitoring through real time dashboard.
