PM-KISAN Important alert for farmers waiting for the next installment, if you want ₹ 2,000 in your account then complete these 3 tasks immediately.

Central government’s ambitious plan to provide financial support to crores of farmers of the country Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) A very important update has come out regarding the upcoming installment of ₹ 2,000. If you are also a regular beneficiary of this scheme and are waiting for the upcoming installment amounting to Rs 2,000, then be alert immediately. The Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has made the rules very strict for sorting the list of beneficiaries and ensuring transparency. From Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow, Sitapur, Barabanki, Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri to Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Maharashtra, lakhs of farmers have been identified in whose accounts the money for the upcoming installment may get stuck due to non-completion of the necessary procedures. The government has given clear instructions that under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), money will be sent to the accounts of only those farmers who have fulfilled all the three prescribed technical conditions on time.

To prevent fraud under PM Kisan Yojana, the government has given information to every beneficiary farmer. e-KYC Has been made completely mandatory. If e-KYC of your account is incomplete, the next installment will not be credited to your bank account. There are two very simple options to accomplish this:

  • OTP based e-KYC (free): If your mobile number is linked to your Aadhar card, you can directly visit the official portal pmkisan.gov.in from your phone. Click on the ‘e-KYC’ option present in the ‘Farmers Corner’, enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and complete the instant verification by submitting the OTP received on the registered mobile number.

  • Biometric e-KYC: If the mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, then you can go to your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or Jan Seva Kendra and get biometric e-KYC done through fingerprint or iris scan by paying a nominal fee of only ₹ 15-₹ 20.

Second biggest reason for installment stuck Land Seeding (verification of land records) Shouldn’t happen. The digital record of agricultural land is being matched by the government with the farmer’s application. If in your ‘Beneficiary Status’ on PM Kisan Portal next to Land Seeding ‘NO’ If it is written, your installment will be stopped with immediate effect. To get this rectified, the farmer will have to personally contact his block, tehsil office or regional accountant/patwari or district agriculture officer office with his Khatauni (Fard/Bhulekh copy of the land), photocopy of Aadhar card, bank passbook and PM farmer’s registration number. The status will change to ‘YES’ once it is approved on the state government portal after verification of the documents by the concerned revenue officer.

The third and most technically important task is to link your bank account with Aadhaar and DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) To enable. Many times the farmers’ account is linked to Aadhaar, but it is not seeded on ‘NPCI Mapper’ (National Payments Corporation of India). Since the central government sends money directly through the Aadhaar based payment system through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS), if the bank account is not linked to NPCI, the money is returned as ‘Transaction Failed’. To solve this, farmers should go to their bank branch and submit an ‘Aadhaar-DBT Enabling Form’ or the easiest way is to go to the nearest post office. India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) Open a new DBT-linked digital account in. The post office account is automatically seeded with Aadhaar within 24 to 48 hours, due to which the pending installments are also transferred directly.

Farmers are advised to check their status themselves before the date of release of installment so that any deficiencies can be rectified in time. For:

  1. First of all go to the official website pmkisan.gov.in.

  2. Click on the ‘Know Your Status’ option visible on the right side of the homepage.

  3. Enter your PM Kisan registration number and captcha code and click on ‘Get Data’ (if you do not remember the registration number, you can get it from Aadhaar or mobile number by going to ‘Know your registration no.’).

  4. As soon as the screen opens, check three main things in the ‘Eligibility Status’ tab –e-KYC Status (must be YES), Land Seeding (must be YES), and Aadhaar Bank Account Seeding Status (must be YES). If there is a green tick and ‘YES’ written next to these three, then you need to be absolutely sure; The upcoming installment of ₹2,000 will be transferred directly to your bank account without any interruption.
