Drishyam 3 Box Office Day 2: Vijay Salgaonkar’s storm at the box office, crosses ₹115 crore in 2 days

Ajay Devgan’s much-awaited suspense thriller film ‘Drishyam 3: The Conclusion’, released in Indian theaters on October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, has created a historic tsunami at the ticket window. After earning a record-breaking net of over ₹62 crore on the first day, the film maintained its strong hold on Saturday as well. On Saturday i.e. the second day of its release, the film made an impressive net collection of ₹ 53.50 crore at the domestic box office, with which the total Indian net collection of the film in two days has crossed ₹ 115.50 crore. With this, this film has joined the list of select mega-blockbuster films to enter the Rs 100 crore club fastest in 2026.

The last installment of this franchise, directed by Abhishek Pathak, is receiving unprecedented positive response (Positive Word of Mouth) from the audience and critics. After taking full advantage of the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on Friday, there is usually a general decline in films on Saturday, but the morning and evening shows of ‘Drishyam 3’ continued to attract a huge crowd of viewers. Housefull boards were seen in multiplex chains across the country, from PVR INOX and Cinepolis to single screen theatres. An average occupancy of more than 50% was recorded in more than 11 thousand shows on Saturday, taking the film to the ₹115.50 crore club in India within two days.

According to film trade analysts, the two-day Indian gross collection of ‘Drishyam 3’ has reached approximately ₹ 138.60 crore. At the same time, the magic of this thriller of Ajay Devgan and Tabu is speaking in the overseas markets also, where the film has done a business of more than ₹ 38 crore so far. Including the figures from India and abroad, the film’s 2-day worldwide gross collection has crossed ₹177.10 crore. On the basis of its stormy pace, ‘Drishyam 3’ has left behind the lifetime collection of many big films in just 48 hours, which also includes the Indian net collection of Salman Khan’s ‘Sikander’ (about ₹ 104 crore).

Talking about local markets, tremendous craze for the film is being seen in the Hindi speaking states of North India. Due to advance booking in major cities like Delhi-NCR, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur, Varanasi and Patna in Bihar, most of the night shows were already sold out. Late night shows at Wave, Phoenix Palacio and Cinepolis in Lucknow were also packed with packed houses. Trade pundits believe that the audience is lining up to watch Vijay Salgaonkar’s suspense in the single screen theaters of UP and Bihar, which is an indication that the film has a strong hold on both the mass and class audiences.

Trade analysts predict that there will be an even bigger jump in the film’s collection on Sunday. Advance booking for Sunday had already crossed the ₹15 crore mark. Due to Sunday holiday, it is expected that the film can easily make a net collection of between ₹50 crore to ₹55 crore on the third day. If this momentum continues, ‘Drishyam 3’ will touch ₹165-170 crore at the Indian box office and ₹230-240 crore globally in its first three days of opening weekend, which will be the biggest weekend record of Ajay Devgan’s 33-year-old film career.

The biggest reason for this historic success of ‘Drishyam 3’ is being said to be its tight story and shocking climax. In the film, Ajay Devgan has once again breathed life into the role of Vijay Salgaonkar, a clever father who saves his family. Along with Tabu, Shreya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Rajat Kapoor, Kamlesh Sawant as IG Meera Deshmukh, the acting of Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj and Saurabh Shukla, who have included new characters this time, is also getting tremendous appreciation. This last chapter of the battle of wits between the family and the police has completely succeeded in keeping the audience glued to the seats till the end.
