UPITS 2026 will decide the direction of establishing Uttar Pradesh as a global sourcing hub.


Greater Noida, 24 September. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Local to Global’ vision, Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS), the major platform of the business ecosystem being developed by the Yogi government to connect the local products, entrepreneurs and manufacturers of Uttar Pradesh with the markets of the country and the world, has now entered its fourth edition. UPITS-2026, to be held at India Expo Center and Mart, Greater Noida from 25 to 29 September, will be organized this time with wider international participation, sectoral diversity and business connect than ever before.

The fourth edition of UPITS will become a big platform to connect the entrepreneurs, manufacturers, exporters and businessmen of Uttar Pradesh with the markets of the country and the world. UPITS 2026 is expected to be attended by over 2,400 exhibitors, over 1.5 lakh B2B buyers and visitors, over 4.5 lakh general visitors and over 550 international buyers from 85 countries.

Home Minister Amit Shah and CM Yogi will inaugurate
On Thursday, State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary said that the MSME sector is the backbone of the economy of Uttar Pradesh. There are more than 96 lakh MSME units in the state. The government is developing an ecosystem in which enterprises can grow, innovate and compete in global markets. UPITS will also provide new opportunities for investment, business expansion and employment while increasing market access for local enterprises. He told that UPITS 2026 will be inaugurated by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

This time the format of the event will be more extensive
The international format of UPITS 2026 will be broader this year. Six partner countries Austria, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Belarus and Vietnam will participate in the fourth edition. The participation of these countries will increase opportunities for trade partnerships, technical cooperation, sourcing, investment and access to new markets. The event will connect international buyers, domestic B2B buyers and domestic B2C visitors on a single platform.

Registration of foreign buyers from more than 72 countries
Participation from international buyers is already increasing ahead of the event. So far, registrations from foreign buyers have been received from 72 countries. Through FIEO’s Hosted Buyer Programme, actual buyers, importers, distributors, retailers, sourcing agents, procurement heads, trade associations and business enterprises are being connected to the event. Buyers and exhibitors will get the opportunity for direct business interaction through B2B matchmaking, networking and business sessions.

Diversity of different areas will be seen
UPITS 2026 will showcase the diversity of Uttar Pradesh’s industrial, agricultural, handicrafts and service sectors. This includes Agriculture & Allied Sectors, Automobile, EV & Auto Components, Aviation, Defence, Electronics & E-Commerce, IT & Smart-City Solutions, Film & Entertainment, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairy, Food Processing & FMCG, Horticulture, Handloom, Handicrafts & Textiles, Health, Wellness, AYUSH, Pharmaceuticals & Medical Equipment, Infrastructure, Engineering, Manufacturing & Real Estate, Sectors like leather, tourism and hospitality, sports, toys, renewable energy, power, mining, logistics and warehousing, retail, financial services, education and skills, packaging and printing and water, sanitation and waste water management will be included.

Government schemes and policies will also be displayed
Government schemes and policies related to MSME development, entrepreneurship and skill development, cluster development, digital transformation, international cooperation, procurement and marketing assistance, employment generation and rural and urban development will also be prominently displayed in the exhibition. Sectoral policies of Uttar Pradesh related to industrial investment, exports, textiles and garmenting will also be a part of the event.

Special place for cultural and culinary identity also
The cultural and culinary identity of Uttar Pradesh has also been given special place in UPITS 2026. With the ‘One District, One Product’ initiative, ‘One District, One Cuisine’ will be given special recognition this year. Through this, traditional cooking methods, local cuisine and food heritage of different districts of the state will be presented to the country and the world.

Industry will get opportunity for dialogue and cooperation
The five-day event will see a host of activities including business engagements, knowledge sessions, cultural programmes, live performances, awards, fashion shows and laser shows. The knowledge program will discuss Artificial Intelligence, Electronics Manufacturing, Digital Trade, Food Processing, MSME, Global Free Trade Agreements and other emerging areas. This will provide opportunities for knowledge exchange, dialogue and cooperation to industry people. In this way, along with trade and investment, UPITS will also give a global platform to the culture, food, innovation and entrepreneurship of Uttar Pradesh. Here, efforts will be made to connect the state’s manufacturing capacity, MSME ecosystem, ODOP and ODOC products, handicrafts, textiles, agriculture, food, tourism, innovation and emerging industries with buyers, investors and business community of the country and abroad.

The scope and international reach of the fourth edition will increase
UPITS 2026 builds on the success of the previous three editions. The 2025 edition, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had received a total of 5,07,099 visitors, including 1,40,735 B2B visitors. 2,228 exhibitors participated in over 35,000 square meters of exhibition area. The participation of over 550 foreign buyers from 85 countries through FIEO strengthened the international nature of the event. The 2025 edition recorded over 2,400 MOUs worth ₹1,882 crore and business inquiries worth over ₹11,200 crore. Building on these achievements, the scope and international reach of the fourth edition is being expanded.

Digital facilities also increased
Digital facilities have also been strengthened in UPITS 2026. Through the UPITS App, buyers and exhibitors will be able to identify business opportunities and schedule B2B meetings in advance. Through digital matchmaking, participants will be able to better plan business meetings to be held during the event. Platforms like UPITS are playing an important role in taking the economy of Uttar Pradesh towards the target of one trillion dollars. The fourth edition will try to connect the enterprises of the state with the big markets of the country and the world by bringing trade, investment, innovation, manufacturing, export, culture and consumer engagement on one platform.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil, IAS, District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar and Chairman of India Exposition Mart Limited Dr. Rakesh Kumar along with senior officials of Uttar Pradesh Government and District Administration were present.
