Lucknow, 24 September. The world will be exposed to the skills and talent of the youth of Uttar Pradesh in the International Trade Show. Taking forward the efforts of Yogi government to connect the youth with skills, career and employment, ‘Skill Forum’ will be started for the first time in the pavilion of UP Skill Development Mission (UPSDM). Here, academicians, skill experts and industry representatives will interact with the youth, while visitors will be able to observe and learn skills through live demonstrations of 16 skills, activities and B2B interactions. The most important thing is that by sharing their success stories, young entrepreneurs will also show the path from skills to employment and entrepreneurship.
With the aim of effectively presenting the skills, talents and abilities of the youth of Uttar Pradesh to the country and the world, Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission will present its pavilion in a more comprehensive and interactive format in the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show this year. In the International Trade Show to be organized at India Expo Center and Mart, Greater Noida from 25th to 29th September, the pavilion of Skill Development Mission will provide the visitors with information about the traditional skills of the state along with modern and emerging skills and will also provide them an opportunity to understand the skills by participating in the activities themselves.
This year, 16 skill stalls are being set up in the pavilion of the Skill Development Mission. Thus, this time along with traditional craftsmanship, new and emerging skills will also be displayed. The pavilion will have live demos of various skills, allowing visitors to directly see the intricacies of the skill and its associated methodology. The size of the pavilion has also been significantly increased this year. This time a space of 360 square meters has been found. This pavilion is being established at Hall No. 7, Ground Floor.
This year, activities like interactive do-it-yourself activities will be the center of special attraction in the pavilion of Skill Development Mission. At most of the stalls, visitors will not be limited to just watching the skill demonstration, but will also be able to understand the intricacies of the skill by participating in the activities themselves. ‘Skill Forum’ is being started for the first time. On this platform, academicians, skill experts, industry representatives and soft skill communicators will share their experiences and practical information. Its objective is to connect the youth with skill development, career building and changing employment prospects.
The pavilion also accommodates B2B activities along with industries and educational institutions. Through this, opportunities for dialogue, collaboration and possible partnership between various stakeholders related to skill development will be discussed. Trained young entrepreneurs who have progressed in their respective fields after receiving training from the Skill Development Mission will also be a part of the pavilion. By showcasing their experiences, journey and achievements, it will be shown that skill development is not limited to just getting training, but it can also become a strong foundation for employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for the youth.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Department of Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal will launch the ‘Seva First Innovation Challenge’ portal along with the pavilion. Through this challenge, youth, students, startups, professionals and innovators will be provided an opportunity to present new solutions and innovations.
Mission Director Pulkit Khare said that this year the pavilion has integrated 16 skill stalls, activities, live demos, ‘skill forum’, B2B dialogue, achievements of trained youth and cultural presentations. This will provide an opportunity to visitors to see, understand and experience the diversity of skills and talent of Uttar Pradesh. He said that the objective of the pavilion is not just to showcase skills but to connect them with experience, dialogue and innovation.
