Along with this, the devotees who observed the fast of Parivartini Ekadashi (Padma Ekadashi) on the previous day will conclude their fast today morning at an auspicious time.
According to the scriptures, on the day of Bhadrapada Shukla Dwadashi, Lord Vishnu took the form of Vamana as the son of Mother Aditi and Maharishi Kashyap and freed the three worlds by crushing the ego of the demon King Bali. It is believed that on this day, by worshiping Lord Vaman in Panchopachar or Shodashopachar and donating rice, curd and umbrella, a person attains salvation and inexhaustible virtues.
