The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official sample question papers (SQP) and marking scheme for the annual board examinations of class 10th and 12th to be held in the year 2027 under the academic session 2026-27. Students who are going to appear for the upcoming board examinations can now visit and download the model papers and answer evaluation scheme of all the major subjects by visiting the official academic website of CBSE, cbseacademic.nic.in.
The role of sample papers is considered to be the most decisive in the preparation of board exams. Through these official papers, students will get direct help in understanding the question paper design, types of questions (MCQ, short answer, long answer, case-based questions), section-wise marks distribution and time management.
Along with releasing the sample paper, CBSE has completely removed the confusion among students and teachers by issuing a press note:

Similar Assessment Structure: The Board has clarified that no change has been made in the evaluation system and question paper design for the board examinations of session 2026-27. It will operate on the same format as the previous session i.e. 2025-26.
