Negligence in continuity and restoration of power supply will not be tolerated – Dayanand

Raipur, April 10 (Hindustan Reporter) Chhattisgarh State Power Companies Chairman and Energy Department Secretary P. Dayanand gave strict instructions to the regional heads of the distribution companies through video conferencing on Wednesday. He clearly said that if electricity supply is abnormally disrupted due to carelessness, strict action will be taken against the concerned officer. Consumers should be compulsorily informed through media about stoppage of power supply for repairs. Any such work should be done taking the public into confidence.

Taking seriously the news of interference in electricity from some places of the state, Dayanand had today called a meeting of senior officials including MD at Vidyut Seva Bhawan, Dangania Raipur, in which the regional ED and Chief Engineers were connected through VC. Went. Dayanand took information from the regional heads about the status of electricity supply in their areas. He expressed his displeasure when more complaints were found in some areas, whereas he praised the response and improvement information received in minimum time. Shri Dayanand directed the field officers and employees to visit their fields regularly and be in regular touch with the consumers and field staff. Monitor regular maintenance and ensure prompt rectification in case of breakdown. The peak demand of summer is yet to come, so be completely alert and careful for that. These days, increasing load and storms are common but it is our duty to manage them properly, negligence in this will not be tolerated at any level. Dayanand instructed that full attention should be paid to harmony between office and field. It should be ensured that consumers are heard with full seriousness in the electricity offices and get solutions. On this occasion, MD Transmission and Distribution RK Shukla, ED Bhimsingh, Sandeep Verma, RC Agarwal and CE Shrianand Rao etc. were present at the headquarters.

Dayanand has appealed to the general public that in case of interruption in power supply, they must complain to the nearest office but should not take violent action like vandalism. Since most of the electricity distribution system is in the open, it is affected by the weather. In case of break-down, fault finding and repair work is possible only in a safe and peaceful environment. Public cooperation is expected for this.
