These tanks were 25 to 30 feet deep, but then four laborers died due to suffocation. The names of the people who died in the accident are Shubham Parkar (28), Amol Ghatal (27), Nikhil Ghatal (24) and Sagar Tendulkar (29). ) Were. However, the bodies of the four laborers were recovered by ViviCMC fire personnel.
In the complaint regarding the above incident, it has been said in Arnala Sagari Police Station that, the above laborers were working in Polycon Enviro Engineers Private Limited Pollution Control Project Kapani Sewerage Center 2, Global City, Virar West, the owner of the accused Polycon Enviro Engineers Private Limited. And Mahadev Tukaram Kupte aged 62 years, resident of Virar West, the supervisor, despite knowing that there could be a danger due to the gas in the recycle tank, acted negligently without taking any precautions. There was a failure to provide any safety equipment and an adequate supply of oxygen when lowering workers into the recycle tank to remove the choke-up. On the basis of complaint and statement, Arnala Sagari police has registered a case against the owner and supervisor of the above mentioned company, Mahadev Tukaram Kupte, under section 304, 34 and other sections and started further investigation.
