According to the information received, the health of Sudivya Kumar Sonu, two-time MLA from Giridih Assembly constituency and considered very close to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, suddenly deteriorated late on Saturday night. After complaining of severe chest pain, he was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Giridih, where he breathed his last during treatment. His sudden departure from this world has created a wave of mourning in the political circles of the entire state including Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) party.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has expressed deep condolences on the untimely demise of his close associate and cabinet minister. The Chief Minister wrote in his message on social media that Sonu Bhaiya was not just a senior colleague or political partner but like an elder brother to him who stood firmly with him in every difficult time. JMM party has also issued an official statement calling it an irreparable loss for the party, the government and the entire Jharkhand. Party leaders said that Sudivya Kumar Sonu always fought hard for the issues of identity, rights and public interest of Jharkhand, which will always be remembered.
