Anuj described himself as a big fan of Ghazal emperor Jagjit Singh and after humming a ghazal, he curiously asked Big B that which of Jagjit Singh’s compositions was his favorite.
Answering this question of the contestant with a smile, Amitabh Bachchan said that although he keeps listening to many types of music and ghazals, but Jagjit Singh’s ‘Gradually’ Ghazal is one of his most favorite compositions. Big B told that this ghazal is very close to his heart and its singing and tune always mesmerize him.

During the conversation, when the contestant reminded Amitabh Bachchan that his father and eminent poet Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan also had a deep and creative association with Jagjit Singh, the megastar got nostalgic. He said that there is a natural and deep soulful connection between the people who write literature and poetry and the artists who give their voice to it.
Explaining the depth of music, Big B said that whenever a poem is composed, there is always a hidden tune and rhythm present within it. The words and lines of the poem should be connected in such a way that a smooth flow is created. Great singers are those who recognize this hidden note of the poem and transform it into an immortal song with their melodious voice.
