According to Meteorological Center Patna, due to the cyclonic pressure over the state, there is a strong possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorm in more than 18 districts including Patna, Gaya, Madhepura, Gopalganj, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Bhagalpur and Begusarai.
During this period, stormy winds can blow at a speed of 70 km per hour in the state. The biggest danger in Bihar is lightning (thunk). The Disaster Management Department has warned people in rural areas, especially farmers working in the fields, to take shelter in pucca houses and not stand under tall trees or electric poles during bad weather and thunderstorms.

The widespread impact of monsoon is visible in the desert state of Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain and dust storm with a speed of 60 km per hour in Jaipur, Sikar, Dausa, Jhalawar, Kota, Ajmer, Tonk, Bikaner, Barmer, Jodhpur and Jhunjhunu.
There is also a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in agriculture dominated areas of Punjab and Haryana like Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Ambala and Karnal. Due to strong winds, farmers have been advised to make proper drainage arrangements to protect paddy and other crops.
Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh: Landslide alert on mountains, tourists advised to be careful
Heavy rains are becoming a disaster in the hilly states. The risk of incidents like heavy rain and cloudburst has increased in Dehradun, Nainital, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Pauri Garhwal, Rudraprayag and Bageshwar of Uttarakhand. The water level of rivers has reached near the danger mark and traffic is being affected due to debris on many national highways.
Orange alert of torrential rain is also issued in Shimla, Manali, Kullu, Mandi and Dharamshala of Himachal Pradesh. The administration has appealed to tourists and local citizens to avoid going near sensitive hill slopes, river banks and waterfalls and plan travel only after the latest weather updates.
