Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday gave a big blow to Shiromani Akali Dal and Bharatiya Janata Party when several leaders of both the parties joined AAP ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
Prem Chand, urban president of Akali Dal from Moga, joined the Aam Aadmi Party along with his cadre. He has been Municipal Corporation Councilor in Moga for 6 times and District President (Urban) of Akali Dal. He was also accompanied by Sanjeev Kumar Narula (General Secretary Punjab, Akali Dal), Jalore Singh Gill (Senior Vice President District Moga Akali Dal), Rajveer Singh Arora (Vice President District Moga Akali Dal), Manohar Lal (Vice President Moga Akali Dal). And Kamaldeep Bahl (Akali Dal) also joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in the state, BJP constituency Baghapurana in-charge and BJP Punjab state executive member Gurminderjit Singh Bablu also joined the Aam Aadmi Party. AAP Punjab President Bhagwant Singh Mann welcomed all the leaders into the Aam Aadmi Party and said that with their arrival the party will become stronger in Faridkot Lok Sabha constituency. On this occasion, Moga MLA Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora and Dharamkot constituency MLA Davinderjit Singh Ladi Dhos were also present.
