Once again big news has come to light regarding the health of former Prime Minister of Pakistan and PTI founder Imran Khan. 73-year-old Imran Khan was taken out of Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail amid tight security at midnight and brought to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad, where a special team of doctors examined him.
Team of 6 doctors did medical checkup
According to media reports, a 6-member team of doctors conducted a detailed medical checkup of Imran Khan at Shifa Hospital. After completing the necessary tests and medical procedures in the hospital, he was sent back to Adiala jail under tight security.
Earlier, in one of its orders, the Supreme Court had directed to send Imran Khan to the hospital for treatment and keep him in the hospital till a certain date. At the same time, reacting on this matter, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhary has said that if adequate care is not available in the government medical facilities of the country, then the government can also consider the option of sending Imran Khan abroad for better treatment.
Family and party have been expressing concern about health
PTI party and Imran Khan’s family have been expressing concern for a long time about his poor health and the facilities being provided in jail. Party spokespersons say that as per the advice of doctors, he should be kept under proper medical observation until his health becomes completely stable.
It is noteworthy that Imran Khan has been in jail in various cases since August 2023 after being ousted from power through a no-confidence motion in April 2022. His lawyers also claim that during his stay behind bars, the vision in his right eye has been greatly affected, due to which there is constant concern among his supporters about his health.
