Keshav Prasad Maurya spoke to 90 year old victim Mrs. Vidyawati Sharma on telephone about her well-being and assured immediate help.


Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya ji, taking seriously the published news of collapse of the kutcha house of 90 year old widow Mrs. Vidyawati Sharma ji due to waterlogging in Amethi district, directed the Chief Development Officer, Amethi to take immediate effective action in the matter and all possible relief and assistance should be provided to Mrs. Vidyawati Sharma ji as per the rules of the government.

The Deputy Chief Minister himself spoke to 90-year-old Mrs. Vidyawati Sharma on telephone to inquire about her well-being. He took information from the old woman about her health and current circumstances and assured her not to worry, the state government and administration are with her. The officers were directed to immediately assess the needs of the victims and provide them with necessary assistance as per the rules and to provide them the benefits of other government schemes on the basis of eligibility, including housing, should be taken on priority.

On the instructions of Shri Maurya ji, officials of the Rural Development Department were immediately sent to the spot. Officials reached the spot and took stock of the situation and obtained information from the victim’s family. Also, necessary action was initiated regarding immediate relief that can be provided to the affected woman and benefits of government schemes.

Shri Maurya ji said that the double engine government is working day and night for the 25 crore people of the state. The priority of the government is that the benefits of government schemes should reach the people standing at the last rung of the society and the needy people should get immediate relief in times of crisis. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is working in public interest with sensitivity and promptness.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that officials of the Administrative and Rural Development Department have been instructed to remain alert to help the people affected by waterlogging, excessive rainfall or other natural conditions during the rainy season. He told the officials that as soon as information about such incidents is received in the villages, they should reach the spot, assess the situation and immediately provide necessary support to the victims.

Shri Maurya ji said that I am a small worker of Bharatiya Janata Party and am always ready to help mothers and sisters, youth, farmers and every needy person of the society. He said that service, compassion and cooperation are the basic objectives of public representation. It is the responsibility of the government and public representatives to extend the benefits of government schemes to every eligible person and to stand with the affected families in adverse circumstances.

The Deputy Chief Minister directed the officials of Amethi that information about the action taken in the case of Mrs. Vidyawati Sharma should be made available at the government level and it should be ensured that she does not face any kind of problem. He said that negligence will not be accepted at any level in solving public problems.
