A big and positive relief news has emerged for about 50 thousand residents of Noida Sports City (Sector-150 and 152), the most prominent and rapidly developing residential hub of Delhi-NCR. Noida Authority has prepared a plan for the construction of a modern ‘Cloverleaf Interchange’ to provide relief to the people living in these sectors from the daily heavy traffic jams and to provide direct and easy connectivity to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway as well as Yamuna Expressway. This special clover leaf in the shape of eight (8) will be installed between Sector-148 and Sector-153, which will directly connect the service roads on both sides of the expressway. After the completion of this infrastructure project, local citizens, IT professionals and Delhi-Jewar commuters will get permanent relief from the jam of the narrow underpass.
Will get relief from existing small underpass and severe traffic jam.
At present, vehicles coming from Sector-150, Sector-152 and nearby multi-storey societies have to take the help of limited capacity underpass built under the expressway to cross the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway or turn in the other direction. During morning and evening peak hours, the pressure of vehicles suddenly increases manifold on this small underpass, due to which long queues of vehicles form there. Many times residents have to waste 20 to 30 minutes just to cover a distance of a few hundred metres. After the construction of the new eight-shaped clover leaf, vehicles will have free passage to move in different directions without any hindrance and will not have to depend on any narrow underpass.
Yamuna Expressway and Jewar Airport journey will be superfast
The biggest strategic benefit of this project will be that the residents of Sector-150 and 152 will now get a direct, signal-free and wide route to Yamuna Expressway. Vehicles heading towards the upcoming Noida International Airport (Jewar), Film City, Formula-1 Track and Agra will be able to directly board the high-speed corridor without getting stuck in any internal traffic. This will not only result in huge savings in travel time but will also significantly reduce fuel wastage and pollution levels.
The design will be passed from a technical institute like IIT
Noida Authority is taking special care to ensure the quality and technical strength of the project. The detailed engineering design of the clover leaf is currently being prepared by the civil wing of the authority. Once the design work is completed, it will be sent to a prestigious national technical institute like the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) for intensive technical testing, safety analysis and structural approval. As soon as formal approval is received from IIT, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the project will be finalized and administrative and financial approval will be issued.
Construction will be completed within 6 months of tender being issued
According to authority officials, the transparent e-tendering process for selection of the construction agency will be started as soon as the DPR is formally approved. The authority aims to complete 100% construction work of Clover Leaf and open it to the public within the stipulated time frame of about six months from the date of allotment of the tender. As the population density in the Sports City area is expected to increase rapidly in the coming years, this timely infrastructure project will prove to be the backbone to handle the future traffic load.

Sector-150 and 152 are considered to be the major sports-centric and green residential sectors of NCR. The seamless road connectivity and creation of clover leaf will provide a new lifeline to the real estate market, commercial complexes, sports academies and IT parks of the entire region.
