Today is the day of meditation of dual divine powers. On one hand, since it is Tuesday of Shravan month, a fast is being observed for the auspicious form of Goddess Parvati, ‘Maa Mangala Gauri’. It is believed that women who worship Maa Gauri with 16 makeup items with devotion on Tuesday of Sawan, all the troubles of their married life go away, Manglik Dosh present in the horoscope gets calmed and the husband gets long life.
On the other hand, ‘Kalki Jayanti’ is celebrated on Shravan Shukla Shashthi. According to the Puranas, at the end of Kaliyuga, when unrighteousness will be at its peak, Lord Vishnu will incarnate in the form of ‘Kalki’ in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. By meditating the Kalki form of Lord Vishnu today, all the known and unknown sins, mental disorders and troubles in a person’s life are eliminated.
Complete worship method of Maa Mangala Gauri and Lord Kalki
Morning bath and resolution: Wake up in the morning at Brahma Muhurta or at sunrise and take bath. Wear clean red or yellow colored clothes and offer Arghya to the Sun God with a copper pot. After this, taking water, Akshat and flowers in hand, take a pledge to observe Mangala Gauri Vrat and worship Kalki Jayanti.
