Mafia tendency is the biggest enemy of youth power: Chief Minister Yogi

Gorakhpur, 17 August. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that mafia tendencies are the biggest enemy of youth power. Be it education mafia, professional mafia, sports mafia, drug mafia or mafia of any field. If mafia tendencies increase, the youth power will suffer the most. He said that to save the youth power, it is necessary that the sports culture promoted by the double engine government should be given meaning with positive thinking.

CM Yogi was addressing the closing and prize distribution ceremony of the two-day state level senior prize money men wrestling competition organized by the Sports Department and District Wrestling Association on the occasion of Nag Panchami in the Gorakhnath temple complex on Monday. The Chief Minister said that there was no place for sports and youth in the agenda of the previous governments. Today, those who are shouting by saying ‘Yuva-Yuva’, in reality youth was never on their agenda. They only want to misuse the youth. When he got the opportunity to be in power, he did nothing for the interests of the youth. Then he put everything in the hands of the mafia.

CM Yogi said that if any mafia plays with the life of youth, be it copying mafia, education mafia or mafia of any field, if it plays with the life of any youth, then we are taking very strict action against him by confiscating his entire property.

There was a massive change in sports culture.
CM Yogi said that in the last 10-12 years we all have seen a changing India. There has also been a massive change in the field of sports culture here. New competitions for sports have come forward through Khelo India, Fit India, MP and MLA sports competition and rural league. He said that you must have seen in the Commonwealth Games that the enthusiasm of the Indian players was high. Indian players finished fourth and won medals for the country. Nine players from Uttar Pradesh also participated. Three of those players have received medals. Players associated with UP have won one gold medal, one silver and one bronze medal for the country.

Will soon give government jobs to 500 more players
The Chief Minister said that the state government has made a provision by bringing the sports policy that whichever player wins a medal for the country, we will give him a government job directly. Till now more than 500 players have been given jobs. Posts ranging from Assistant Director in the Sports Department to Deputy SP in UP Police have been given to the players. Very soon, within the next one month, again 500 medal winning players will be given jobs in UP Police and other departments. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the players of the state who win the gold medal in the Olympics are given Rs 6 crore, the silver medal winner is given Rs 4 crore and the bronze medal winner is given Rs 2 crore by the UP government. An assistance of Rs 10 lakh is given for participation in Olympics and Rs 5 lakh each for Commonwealth and Asiad. They also facilitate them for National Games.

Society will also have to join to increase sports culture, will help private academies
CM Yogi said that to increase sports and sports culture, society will have to join hands with the government and voluntary organizations will have to join. Instead of finding fault with others, we will have to participate in that program at our own level. The Chief Minister said that if someone runs a private academy, the government will provide assistance to him because he is working to groom the youth. Our wrestlers and old masters used to run their own akharas, they should also be registered. Akharas should be constructed for them, matting and other assistance will be provided for them. Arrangements will be made to provide assistance to the coaches and managers. He said that the state government’s sports policy is to cooperate in whatever field of sports the private sector cooperates in, we will fully cooperate with it. While discussing the sports culture of Ghazipur, CM Yogi said that two players who won medals for the country in the Olympics, Lalit Upadhyay and Rajkumar Pal, have flourished and progressed from a private stadium in Ghazipur.

Government created eco system for sports
The Chief Minister said that the government’s effort is to have a playground in every village, construction of an open gym, mini stadium in every development block, stadium in every district, a sports college at every commissioner level and a center of excellence in every sports college. Center of Excellence means whatever specialties there are at the international level regarding any one sport, we should work on taking those competitions forward by keeping old players as coaches. In a way, the government has done the work of creating an eco system. He said that earlier there was no sports university in UP. We have made a sports university in Meerut in the name of hockey magician Major Dhyan Chand. Now courses have started there. New competitions have started there. World class infrastructure is being provided. There is no shortage of double engine at the government level. The youth should take advantage of this opportunity. He said that the 2030 Commonwealth Games are going to be held in India and no Indian player should miss this competition. Its preparation should start from now within UP.

Stay away from both drugs and smartphones
The Chief Minister said that it should be remembered that the more our youth get involved in sports and sports activities, the more they will stay away from drugs. Two types of drugs are currently playing with the lives of the entire young generation. An addiction is one that is caused by intoxicating substances like drugs etc. The drug mafia wants to make India hollow by swallowing the young generation. We have to be ready to fight against him. Every conscious citizen, every patriot should prepare to fight against it. And, secondly, smartphone addiction. Of the time you spend on smartphones, 90 percent of it is useless. Only 10 percent is for your use only, the rest is not even for your use. If you can save 5-6 hours and give only one hour to your body, then you will become healthy. If the body is healthy then the mind will be healthy. If your brain is healthy, you will be able to make your best contribution in making India strong and capable. Will be saved from mental stress. You will find yourself ready to face any kind of challenge.

The first rule for a player is self-discipline.
CM Yogi said that the first rule for any player is self-discipline, self-control. He wakes up on time, sleeps on time, follows the rules of eating and drinking. Follows the tradition of Guru-disciple. He said that you must have seen that when a wrestler comes to the arena, he comes after saluting the coach and master. This feeling of reverence inspires him to move forward, gives him strength. Because the old players, wrestlers, old masters, these coaches, they have worked hard and spent their lives. It is a different matter that in his time there were no resources and no encouragement. Otherwise, if they had got encouragement and resources, they too could have brought India’s name forward at the international level. The Chief Minister said that our wrestler is also a Satvik and a worshiper of Bajrangbali. “Bal Buddhi Bidya Dehu Mohi, Harhu Kales Bikar”, that is, one worships Bajrangbali, who removes all kinds of troubles and gives strength, intelligence and glory.

UP government is going to bring youth policy very soon
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state government is coming out with its new ‘Youth Policy’ very soon. In Youth Policy we are going to organize a lot of events for the youth. Many programs are going to be taken forward. ‘Abhyudaya Coaching’ will be taken to every college and university for preparation of competitive examinations. The state government has ensured that an employment zone is created in every district. Employment Zone means that the youth will have skilling under one roof and will also get employment.

Similarly, Serpent Power is the medium to weigh and know spiritual power. He said that there is a power inside every human being and the nadi which works to balance that power is Sushumna Nadi. The foundation stone of power that our sages have seen in the spiritual world, we see that power in the worldly world through the worship of Nag Devta in the form of Nag Panchami.
