Lucknow: 14 August: There is a preparation to bring forward the achievements of Yogi government and the changes in the state from the perspective of the young generation. Work will be done towards publishing the monthly magazine ‘Uttar Pradesh Sandesh’ of the Information and Public Relations Department in English along with Hindi and making it available online in a youth-friendly manner. Director of Information and Public Relations Department, Vishal Singh gave this information on Friday in the felicitation ceremony of writers who have written excellently in the magazine. In a program organized at the Information Directorate, he said that the future belongs to Gen Z and the youth, hence there is a need to see the government’s plans, achievements and changes in the state from their perspective and reach them.
Writers who wrote excellently in the April-May and June-July issues of the Hindi monthly magazine ‘Uttar Pradesh Sandesh’, a regular publication of the Information Department based on the achievements of the state government, were honored in the ceremony. The authors were presented with bouquets, certificates and robes. Additional Director of Information and Public Relations Department Arvind Kumar Mishra also addressed the program.
‘UP changed in nine and a half years, it is our effort to spread information about good schemes to the public’
Information Director Vishal Singh said that there has been a big change in Uttar Pradesh in the last nine and a half years. Yogi government is doing good work and our effort should be that information about the good schemes of the government and their results should reach as many people as possible. For this the role of writers and intellectuals is important. Positive and factual writing not only conveys information about the schemes to the people, but also inspires the society to think in a new direction. He said that it is a story of long struggle and effort to reach where we stand today. The new generation will also have to be told what kind of efforts and struggles have been behind achieving the achievements that are in front of us at present.
The future will have to be seen from the lens of Gen Z and youth.
Information Director Vishal Singh said that the society is changing rapidly. Now the way of communicating and presenting information will also have to be considered keeping in mind Gen G and Gen Alpha. The future belongs to the youth, hence the development and changes taking place in different sectors need to be seen from the lens of youth. He said that efforts will be made to connect the youth with ‘Uttar Pradesh Sandesh’ in a more effective manner. Work will be done to present the magazine on online medium keeping in mind the needs and interests of young readers.
‘Uttar Pradesh Sandesh’ will have articles in English along with Hindi
The Information Director said that currently ‘Uttar Pradesh Sandesh’ is being published in Hindi. In future, work will also be done towards publishing articles in English. Through this magazine, material related to the development taking place in Uttar Pradesh and the achievements of the government will be able to reach a wider readership. He said that efforts should be made to look at different sectors of the state from the perspective of the youth and present the topics as per the expectations of the new generation.
‘Respect gives encouragement to do new things’
Vishal Singh said in the program that giving respect is a part of India’s cultural tradition. When a writer gets respect for his work, his morale increases and enthusiasm arises to do something new. He said that the scholars who are being honored have made important intellectual contributions in the fields of journalism, writing and social service. Many of these people have dedicated a large part of their lives to journalism, writing and social service. He said that this honor may seem less in view of the excellent writing, but the feelings of the department behind it are great. This process of honoring writers will continue in the future also. He thanked the entire team of the Information Department for organizing the event and congratulated everyone on Independence Day.
These writers of April-May issue got honor
Pradyumna Tiwari of Lucknow was honored for his notable writing in the security and good governance sector in the April-May issue of ‘Uttar Pradesh Sandesh’. Payal Lakshmi Soni of Lucknow and Dr. Shivani Katara of Hathras received the honor in the social welfare sector. Similarly, Richa Singh of Gorakhpur was honored for excellent writing in the education sector, Yashoda Srivastava of Siddharthnagar in the agriculture sector and Siyaram Pandey ‘Shaant’ of Lucknow was honored for excellent writing in the infrastructure and allied sector.
These writers of June-July issue got honor
In the June-July issue, Dr. Saurabh Malviya of Deoria, Virendra Pathak of Prayagraj in the agriculture and allied sector and Rudresh Ghildiyal of Lucknow in the urban and rural development sector were honored for excellent writing in the balanced development sector. At the same time, Ravi Prakash of Maharajganj was awarded for excellent writing in the tourism sector and Dr. Sonali Shubham of Agra was awarded for excellent writing in the education sector.
Called upon the learned writers of the state to join the magazine
The Information Director called upon the scholars and writers of the state to join ‘Uttar Pradesh Sandesh’. He said that the writers should further enrich the magazine through their experiences, thoughts and intellectual contributions on the achievements of the government, development of the state and positive changes taking place in the society. Describing the presence of respected senior writers as a matter of pride, he said that the series of such intellectual events should continue in future also. He expressed hope that in future more writers will join the magazine and will take the journey of development of the state to the people through their writings.
During this, Senior Finance and Accounts Officer Sanjay Kumar Singh, Assistant Directors Satish Chandra Bharti, Chandra Mohan, Dr. Jitendra Pratap Singh, Chandra Vijay Verma, Amit Kumar Yadav, Associate Editor Ajay Kumar Dwivedi, Deputy Editor Dinesh Kumar Gupta and other departmental officers were present.
