On the first day of Shravan, a flood of faith gathered in the court of Baba Vishwanath, Kashi echoed with the chants of ‘Bol Bam’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’.

Varanasi, 30 July. On the first day of Shravan month, a huge crowd of devotees gathered at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. As soon as the doors of the temple opened after Mangala Aarti, the whole of Kashi echoed with the slogan of ‘Har-Har Mahadev’. Red carpet was laid in the temple premises to welcome Shiva devotees. Long queues of devotees had started forming since late Wednesday night to have Baba’s darshan. In view of the huge crowd of devotees, on the instructions of the Yogi government, extensive and concrete arrangements for security and facilities were made in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham.

Shiva devotees started reaching Kashi since late night for Jalabhishek.

On the first day of Sawan, a huge crowd of Shiva devotees was seen in the Shiva temples of Kashi. The whole of Kashi echoed with the slogans of ‘Bol Bam’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’. Kanwariyas started reaching Kashi since late night for the Jalabhishek of Baba Vishwanath. Belpatra, Madar garland, Ganga water and their favorite worship material offered to Baba Vishwanath were visible in the hands of the devotees standing in the queue.

Kanwariya Durgesh, who came from Bihar, said that the Yogi government has made better arrangements for security, cleanliness and other necessary facilities including staying in camps on the entire route. He said that policemen are deployed everywhere and are providing all possible assistance to the devotees. One lane of Prayagraj-Varanasi road has been reserved for the safe and easy journey of Kanwariyas. Apart from this, police force and PRV vehicles have been deployed on the entire Kanwar route for security purposes.

Chief Executive Officer of Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, Vishwa Bhushan Mishra said that while giving top priority to the convenience and safety of the devotees, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust has made extensive and proper arrangements in the Dham complex and all the surrounding areas. To maintain the smooth functioning of the darshan system, trained personnel have been deployed at all entry and exit points and necessary arrangements have been made to provide queuing and smooth darshan to the devotees. Medical facilities, ambulance, first aid, doctors and paramedical staff are available. Apart from this, arrangements for pure drinking water, glucose, ORS, rest and other basic facilities have been made at various places.
