Kanwar Yatra begins: Avoid going on these routes of Delhi for the next 15 days, read the complete advisory of traffic police

If you travel towards East Delhi, Shahdara or Delhi-UP border every day for work, then you will have to be a little careful in the next few days. Kanwar Yatra has started with Sawan and in view of the increasing crowd of Shiva devotees on the roads, Delhi Traffic Police has issued a new traffic advisory.

This special traffic system Starting from 29th July till 12th August Will remain in force. About 120 Kanwar camps are being organized in East Delhi and Yamunapur areas, hence maximum pressure will be seen on these routes.

Complete ban on entry of heavy vehicles for 15 days

Keeping in mind the safety of Kanwariyas and the convenience of the common people, the traffic police has completely banned the movement of heavy commercial vehicles on Kanwar roads.

Being adjacent to the border of Uttar Pradesh, there are maximum queues of vehicles on the roads across Yamuna. In view of this, entry of heavy vehicles will remain closed from these major borders:

• Maharajpur and Apsara Border

• Seemapuri and DLF Border

• Bhopura, Loni and Sonia Vihar Border

Note: Heavy vehicles going towards East, North-East and Shahdara Delhi will now be allowed to stop. NH-9 And outer ring road Diverted towards.

GT Road will remain closed for general vehicles from 9th to 12th August

If you leave in your private car or bike, then especially note down this date. From 7 am on August 9th to 8 pm on August 12th GT Road from Apsara Border to Yamuna Bridge will be completely closed for general vehicles.

Apart from this, the police has also made it clear that Kanwar Yatris will not be allowed on the Delhi-Dehradun Highway.

There will be maximum traffic impact on these 5 main roads

If possible, avoid using the following routes for the next 15 days or choose alternative routes:

1. GT Road: From Apsara Border to Yamuna Bridge

2. Wazirabad Road: From Bhopura Border to Signature Bridge

3. Asharam Tyagi Marg: (Road Number-66)

4. Pushta Road: Sonia Vihar to Wazirabad

5. Loni Road: From Loni Border to Loni Golchakkar
