Which students will have to give practical exam?
The board has mainly divided students into two categories for supplementary practical exam:

First category (failed only in practical): Students who have got compartment only because of not clearing the practical exam will have to appear only for the practical exam. There is no need to give the theory paper again; In theory, the numbers which they got earlier will be carried forward.

Second category (failed in both theory + practical): Students who could not pass both theory and practical will have to re-appear in theory as well as practical examination.

If you are appearing for the supplementary exam, do not miss these points:

Contact the school immediately: All students with copy of their result/mark sheet and new admit card. 27 July 2026 In any case, you will have to contact your school or exam center.

Rules for Private Candidates: Students who are appearing as private candidates, their practical exams will be held at the same center where their theory exam center is held.

There will be no delay in results: Strict instructions have been given to the exam centers that as soon as the supplementary practical exam is over, the marks of the students will have to be uploaded on the CBSE portal on the same day.

Official Answer Book: Only official practical answer books received from the regional office will be used for these examinations.
