While on one hand the election campaign for the Lok Sabha elections has intensified, on the other hand the Election Commission is also trying to ensure that the election process takes place in a peaceful environment. Based on the threat perception report of IB, the security of Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar has now been increased.
Z category security
Following the Intelligence Bureau threat report, the Home Ministry has given Z category security to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar. It is noteworthy that along with TMC, many political parties are also creating ruckus. Keeping this in mind, IB's threat perception report has come out. Keeping this in mind, the Home Ministry has immediately increased security.
What is Z category security?
A total of 33 security guards are deployed for Z category security. 10 armed static personnel of the armed forces live at the VIP residence. 6 round the clock PSOs, 12 armed Scott Commandos in 3 shifts and 2 watchers and 3 train drivers in shifts are present round the clock.
Madhavi Lata gets Y+ category security
BJP's female leader Madhavi Lata, who has established her influence in Hyderabad, is in the news regarding the Lok Sabha elections. He is contesting against Asaduddin Owaisi in Hyderabad. Then the Home Ministry has provided Y+ category security on the basis of IB threat report. 11 armed police commandos will be deployed in the Y-Plus security category. Out of which 5 static policemen will be deployed for security in and around the house. Apart from 6 PSOs, security is provided to the concerned VIPs in three shifts.
Election atmosphere in the country
It is noteworthy that at present there is an election atmosphere in the country. Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in 7 phases, the first phase of which will start from April 19. Whereas the second phase will be on 26 April, the third phase on 7 May, the fourth phase on 13 May, the fifth phase on 20 May, the sixth phase on 25 May and the seventh phase. Will happen on 1st June. Counting of votes for all phases will take place on June 4.
