Devshayani Ekadashi 2026: Shri Hari Vishnu will go into Yoga Nidra from today, know the auspicious time and rules of worship between Bhadra.

In Hindu religion, Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Ashadha month i.e. Devshayani Ekadashi (Harishayani Ekadashi) has special significance. According to religious beliefs, today on 25th July 2026, Lord Shri Hari Vishnu goes to the underworld for Yoga Nidra and with this the four months of Chaturmas (Saavan, Bhadrapada, Ashwin and Kartik) starts.

During Chaturmas, all kinds of auspicious activities like marriage, mundan and house warming come to a halt and Lord Shiva takes charge of the management of the universe. Now auspicious works will start again only after the awakening of Lord Vishnu on Kartik Shukla Ekadashi i.e. ‘Devuthani Ekadashi’.
