AAP Slams Center Over CJP Protest: AAP attacks Central Government on the performance of Cockroach Janata Party! She said- ‘Modi government is making fun of the law’

There has been an uproar in the politics of Delhi after the huge ruckus, lathi charge and arrest of workers during the ‘Parliament March’ of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) in Jantar Mantar and Connaught Place of the capital Delhi. On this entire issue, Aam Aadmi Party has strongly criticized the stand of the Central Government and Delhi Police and targeted the Modi government. AAP leaders alleged that the central government is making a complete mockery of democracy, constitutional rights and law and order in Delhi. From a reporter’s point of view, after the police action against the protesters and the complete sealing of Parliament Street, the phase of allegations and counter-allegations in Delhi politics has intensified.

Aam Aadmi Party’s attack: “Delhi has been converted into a police cantonment”

Senior spokespersons and leaders of Aam Aadmi Party held a press conference and raised sharp questions on the Delhi Police, which is under the control of the Central Government and the Home Ministry:

  • Violation of democratic rights: AAP said that holding peaceful protests is the constitutional right of every citizen of the country. Instead of listening to the legitimate demands of the protesters, the government is firing batons and tear gas shells at them.

  • People of Delhi are worried: Due to heavy barricading around Jantar Mantar and Lutyens Delhi and closure of gates of many metro stations, common Delhiites are facing severe traffic jams and problems. AAP alleges that due to the dictatorial policies of the Central Government, the entire Delhi Police has been transformed into a cantonment.

CJP expressed protest over the arrest of protesters

AAP leaders strongly protested against the FIR lodged against CJP workers, students and social workers protesting at Jantar Mantar and preventive detention:

  1. Misuse of law: AAP’s argument is that when any organization wants to take out a peaceful march towards Parliament House, instead of handling it through dialogue, registering criminal cases and putting them in jail is a mockery of law and order.

  2. Repressive policy during Parliament session: The central government is misusing the police force to suppress the voice of the opposition and the general public during the monsoon session.

BJP’s counterattack

On the other hand, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has completely rejected these allegations of Aam Aadmi Party. BJP says that Delhi Police has taken strict action as per rules to maintain law and order and security of Parliament, as barricades were broken without any police permission and disturbance was created.
