A very shocking and sensational case has come to light from Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, where a cunning woman, pretending to be an IAS officer, married a young man and then grabbed gold and silver jewelery worth lakhs. When the husband realized her true nature and protested, the woman implicated him in false cases and threatened to kill him, and even tried to murder him by strangulating him. Faridpur police station took immediate action and arrested the accused woman, while the role of her other family associates is also being thoroughly investigated.

Married on the pretext of becoming an IAS officer

This surprising development started on 7 February 2025, when the marriage of Abhishek, resident of village Pachaumi of Faridpur area, was fixed with Sadhana, daughter of Narendra Pal Singh, resident of village Santot Patti Isha, Bilsi police station area of ​​Badaun. According to Abhishek, before the marriage, Sadhna and her father Narendra Pal Singh, brother Surya Pratap and relative Rajendra Singh had claimed that Sadhna would soon be appointed as a high-ranking IAS officer and she would also get Abhishek a government job. Under this false trust and influence, Abhishek’s family agreed to this relationship.

Jewelery worth lakhs grabbed and pressure to build a hospital

After some time of marriage, Sadhna started referring to the court and appointment process and took into her possession about 15 tola gold, one and a half kg silver and other valuables including Abhishek’s gold chain, ring and his mother’s jewellery. After seizing the jewellery, the accused woman started putting undue pressure on Abhishek to sell his 20 bighas of land and build a hospital. When Abhishek protested against this, Sadhna, pretending to be an IAS, warned him of dire consequences and also tried to kill him by strangulating him on the night of 12-13 March 2026, after which the victim informed the police emergency service dial-112.

On the other hand, another case of failure of marriage ceremony has come to light from Kanpur Dehat district of Uttar Pradesh, where the marriage procession of Kubedan Singh, son of Awadhesh Singh, resident of Bisalpur village of Mangalpur police station area, had reached Khirwa village. The wedding ceremony had already been canceled due to the firing incident at the bride’s side the day before, but both parties had agreed to complete the other rituals. When the offerings were placed during the main rituals on Sunday morning, the bride’s side expressed dissatisfaction with the quantity of the items and jewelery and created a dispute. When no solution was found despite a long panchayat and discussion that lasted till the afternoon, the wedding procession had to return empty handed without the bride.
