Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Cocktail 2’ starts panting at the box office! Hard work was done to collect lakhs on 23rd day, know the total collection. Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Cocktail 2’ is struggling at the box office! It’s struggling to collect millions on its 23rd day, find out the total collection.

Bollywood’s Kabir Singh i.e. Shahid Kapoor’s much-awaited romantic-comedy film ‘Cocktail 2’ is struggling hard to save its existence at the box office. In this multi-starrer film, which was released on the big screen on June 19, 2026, the acting of the trio of Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna was praised a lot, but when it came to commercial success, the film could not fully live up to the expectations. As the film enters its fourth weekend of release, the pace of the film has slowed down considerably and the new official figures revealed on Saturday have increased the concerns of the makers.

Earnings reduced to lakhs on 23rd day: It is difficult to touch the magical figure of Rs 100 crores

According to preliminary data from box office tracker website Sacnilk, ‘Cocktail 2’ has done a very modest business of just ₹20 lakh (Rs 0.20 lakh) on the 23rd day of its release i.e. Saturday. Although the film performed well in its initial days and took a great opening of ₹13.50 crore on the first day, by the fourth week there has been a huge decline in the number of viewers. Including this new collection, the total net lifetime collection of the film in India has so far reached ₹94.63 crore. The film still has a tough road to cover to enter the ₹100 crore club in the domestic market.

The game is spoiled by the tsunami of multi-starrer films: From ‘Alpha’ to ‘Dhamaal 4’ there is trouble.

The tsunami of many big films released simultaneously in theaters is being considered as the main reason behind the failure of ‘Cocktail 2’ at the box office. The film started with a clash with big films like Varun Dhawan’s ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’ and Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Main Wapas Aaunga’. The remaining work has been completed by recently released Akshay Kumar’s comedy entertainer ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s spy thriller ‘Alpha’ and now Ajay Devgan’s ‘Dhamal 4’ which is going to hit the theatres. Due to these great troubles, the screens and shows of Shahid’s films have been drastically reduced.

An attempt was made to carry forward the legacy of 2012 cult classic ‘Cocktail’

Let us tell you that this film is the sequel (second part) of the 2012 cult classic ‘Cocktail’ starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. At that time, the film ‘Cocktail’ directed by Homi Adajania had proved to be a big blockbuster, whose songs and the chemistry of Saif-Deepika had created a stir among the youth. In the year 2026, the makers tried to cash in on the popularity of that old franchise with Shahid, Kriti and Rashmika, but due to weak scripting and excessive competition, ‘Cocktail 2’ proved to be a complete failure in repeating the history of the first part at the box office.
