The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has once again taken a big step towards streamlining the administrative structure. In a large-scale administrative reshuffle in the state, 20 senior IAS officers have been transferred. Through this reshuffle, the government has handed over the command of many important departments and districts to new officers, so that the government’s schemes can be implemented more effectively at the grassroots level. In the administrative corridors, this major administrative change is being linked to the strategy of working in mission mode.
DM in big districts, reshuffle in responsibilities
District Magistrates (DMs) of many major districts have been changed in this list. The government has made these appointments with the aim of providing new energy and better law and order in the districts as well as to speed up development works. The officers who have been assigned new responsibilities have been given clear instructions to make public hearings and monitoring of government schemes their priority. In this list of administrative reshuffle, the work areas of secretaries and special secretaries of some important departments have also been changed, so that the efficiency of the administration can be further improved.
Why has this change happened?
The upcoming challenges and administrative efficiency are being considered as the biggest reasons behind this step of the UP government. The government believes that transfer of officers from time to time not only speeds up the work but also maintains transparency in the system. This reshuffle was in discussions for a long time, and now by implementing it the government has given the message that performance will be the main basis for posting. Now these officers will have to immediately assume charge at their new workplaces and start working as per the vision of the government. The citizens of the state are now hoping that after these new appointments, the administrative work in the districts will become more easier.
