Praveen Tarde shared a very emotional anecdote related to the film in ‘Podkatta’ podcast. He told that after the completion of the film, when the time came for its release, the team faced a big financial problem. A huge bill of around Rs 43 lakh was outstanding for the film’s Digital Cinema Package (DCP), while the makers were left with only Rs 12 to 13 lakh at that time. The release of the film was on the verge of being stopped due to lack of funds. In such a time of crisis, he reached out to Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies company.

When Shahrukh Khan came to know about this problem, instead of looking at religion or caste, he supported only art and humanity. According to Praveen Tarde, Shahrukh Khan asked only one question from his team, ‘How was the film made?’ When the team told that the film was very brilliant and heart touching, Shahrukh Khan without wasting a moment ordered, “First give the DCP for the film’s release, we will discuss the money easily after the film’s release.” It was only because of Shahrukh Khan’s unconditional help that the film could reach theaters on time.

Praveen Tarde got angry at those who raised questions about Shahrukh Khan’s religion on social media. He rebuked the trolls and said, “When our film was in trouble, a big superstar generously helped us. Now should I not thank him just because he is a Muslim? A good person should not be seen through the prism of religion. As far as my Hindutva is concerned, I have no need to prove my Hindutva to any social media user. What Shah Rukh Khan did is his greatness and I will always be grateful to him.”
