The weather patterns across the country have once again taken a dangerous turn. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of severe devastation in many big states of the country for the next 7 days. From the capital Delhi to the financial capital Mumbai and the hill state Himachal Pradesh, this warning of the Meteorological Department is enough to increase the concern of the people. According to the latest bulletin of IMD, the danger of heavy rains, flood-like situations and landslides has increased in different states, in view of which the administration has been instructed to remain completely alert.

Why has the danger increased in Delhi and Mumbai?

The weather has suddenly taken a turn in the country’s two largest cities, Delhi and Mumbai. While there is a possibility of life being affected in Delhi due to humidity and sudden heavy rains, the activation of monsoon in Mumbai has created the danger of waterlogging. Weather experts believe that intermittent heavy rains in these areas for the next one week can bring trouble in the low-lying areas. The administration has advised people to avoid waterlogged roads and keep a close eye on weather updates.

Talking about hilly states, the coming 7 days in Himachal Pradesh can be very challenging. IMD has issued orange and red alerts for many parts of the state. There is every possibility of landslides and flash floods due to heavy rains, due to which many major roads may be blocked. Tourists have also been advised to avoid traveling towards the mountains. A warning has also been given that the water level of rivers will rise due to continuous rains, which is an alarm bell for the villages situated on the river banks.
