Noida-Greater Noida New Expressway: Lottery for drivers of Noida! Another 29 KM long new expressway will be built with ₹500 crore, know the route map

A wonderful and very good news has emerged for lakhs of working people and drivers traveling daily between Noida and Greater Noida, the hi-tech cities in the Delhi-NCR region of Uttar Pradesh. Noida Authority has prepared a new and foolproof master plan to end the day-by-day heavy load of vehicles and traffic jams on the existing Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Under this, a completely new and alternative 29 kilometer long, four-lane expressway will be built in the vast Doab region located between the Yamuna and Harnandi (Hindon) rivers.

Budget of ₹500 crore and will get relief from current jam

According to the current data, there is a huge pressure of more than one million vehicles every day on the existing Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, due to which office goers have to crawl for hours during peak hours. For a permanent and technical solution to this problem, Noida Authority has decided to start work on this new parallel connectivity on a war footing. A huge budget of about Rs 500 crore will be spent on the construction of this new 29 km long alternative route.

The hassle of acquiring land from farmers is over, the road will be built on the land of the Irrigation Department

The biggest and special feature of this mega infrastructure project is that its construction will require only a nominal amount of huge acquisition of precious fertile land of local farmers. Actually, Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department already has 22 to 28 meter wide government land available in this river doab area, which will be used to lay this 4-lane road. This will avoid wasting time in long legal processes of land disputes and compensation.

Understand the complete route map and connectivity of the new expressway

As per the blueprint prepared by the authority, this new route has been designed in a very strategic manner:

  • Extension of Yamuna Doab: The Doab area of Yamuna river will be extended further by about one kilometer from the present position.

  • Development of Harnandi (Hindan) Doab: About 17 km long stretch of Doab of Hindon River will be converted into a modern four-lane road.

  • Link to Kondli Bangar: This new alternative route will directly reach Noida’s rapidly developing Sector-150, where it will be directly linked to the famous 75 meter wide main road of Kondli Bangar.

  • Rejuvenation of Embankment Road: Additionally, the existing 11.2 km long old road on the Yamuna embankment is also being widened and renovated at a cost of ₹34 crore, which will provide additional strength to the project.

The fortunes of 25 sectors, 20 villages and 75 societies of Greater Noida will shine.

This new expressway network is going to prove to be no less than a boon, especially for the new residential settlements located on the borders of Noida and Greater Noida. Once it is completely ready, about 5 lakh citizens living in about 25 prime sectors, 20 rural areas and more than 75 luxurious and big housing societies located near Aravali and Hindon will directly get an uninterrupted and signal-free route. The fabric of this entire infrastructure has been woven keeping in mind the future needs of the rapidly increasing residential population in high-profile townships like the famous Sports City located in Sector-150 and Jaypee Wish Town.

Strict deadline for officials: Instructions to present action plan immediately

Considering the seriousness of this project, the top officials of Noida Authority have issued strict instructions to the concerned engineering wing and consultant companies to submit the final Detailed Action Plan (DPR) of this project before the Board with immediate effect. Officials have also made it clear that even if some additional land is required during the design, then on the basis of mutual consent from the concerned farmers, the land will be immediately acquired by giving compensation at fair market rate so that there is no hindrance in the work. With the construction of this expressway, the pressure of vehicles on the main expressway is expected to be reduced by 40%, which will result in huge saving of both precious time and fuel of the people.
