Official: Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya Lucknow, 7 July 2026 Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya today addressed a grand program organized at the Government Institute of Food Processing Technology, Sapru Marg, Lucknow. During the program, the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister gave strict instructions to the officials and said that exhibitions should be organized in every block, so that youth and women at the rural and local level can be directly connected with various beneficial schemes of food processing. Key Points: – Campaign on a large scale: The Deputy Chief Minister called for running this campaign on a wide and large scale. – Employment to every hand: He stressed that the main objective of this initiative is to provide employment to ‘every hand’. – Fulfilling the Prime Minister’s dream: Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya said that we have to realize the Honorable Prime Minister’s dream of self-reliant India and self-employment at any cost. On this occasion, senior officers of the institute, experts and a large number of youth and women were present.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s dream is that every hand should get employment and every family should get the opportunity of self-reliance. To realize this resolution, the food processing sector will have to be given the form of a mass movement. He said that by combining the energy of youth, participation of women and hard work of farmers with modern technology and government schemes, Uttar Pradesh can be made the leading state of the country in the field of food processing.

He instructed the officers to ensure effective implementation of the schemes by establishing better coordination between various departments and to provide training, technical guidance, financial assistance and marketing facilities to the beneficiaries in a timely manner. Besides, the schemes should be reviewed regularly and their progress should also be evaluated. Shri Maurya expressed confidence that through public participation, transparency and effective implementation, the food processing sector will write a new chapter of economic development in the state and will open a new door to prosperity in the lives of youth, women and farmers.
