A source associated with the film said that the director and his team have instructed additional staff and crew to stay away from the set when the shooting begins. According to the scene, only essential stars and technicians have been asked to stay on the set. All others have been barred from entry. A few days ago some pictures from the set went viral. Pictures have revealed that Arun Govil will be seen in the role of King Dasharatha in the film. While Lara Dutta has been cast for the role of Rani Kaikai. According to the report, a source associated with the film said that the set of Gurukul has been prepared in Film City. The shooting of the child actors playing the childhood roles of Ram, Lakshman and Bharat in the first schedule of the film is going on here.

According to reports Ranbir Will start shooting for this film soon. The makers and their team want that no real footage of Ranbir should be leaked. Due to this, they are also considering keeping his body double on the set. Makers will release Ramayana in 3 parts. The first part is expected to be released in the second half of next year. Apart from Ranbir, Sai Pallavi was cast in the role of Mother Sita in the film. Whereas, KGF star Yash can be seen in the role of Ravana. Apart from this, Ravi Dubey can be seen in the role of Laxman and Sunny Deol in the role of Hanuman. However, an official announcement is yet to come from the makers.
