UP RRTS Corridor: Rapid Rail will run from Muzaffarnagar to Haridwar, DPR will be prepared on the lines of Delhi-Meerut; Government approved


The Uttar Pradesh government has given a great gift of world class transportation and connectivity to the people of Western UP. To make the journey from Muzaffarnagar to Haridwar extremely fast, safe and comfortable, the state government has launched the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).RRTS) has given its in-principle approval for the preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the corridor. This historic decision will not only give a new impetus to the development of Western Uttar Pradesh, but this corridor will prove to be the new ‘lifeline’ of the economic progress of the region in the times to come.

Semi-high speed rapid rail will run on the lines of Delhi-Meerut model

Let us tell you that the country’s first rapid rail (Namo Bharat) is already being successfully operated between New Delhi and Meerut via Ghaziabad in the National Capital Region (NCR). Now on the lines of this very modern and successful model, semi-high speed trains will also run between Muzaffarnagar and Haridwar. The main objective of the government is to make the travel between major cities of Western Uttar Pradesh completely jam-free and world class, so that the everyday life of the common people can be made more accessible.
