Mumbai/Entertainment Desk: Bollywood veteran and director of superhit films Rajkumar Hirani is in the news these days for his first web series ‘Pritam and Pedro’. He is going to make his big debut in the world of OTT through this comedy-drama series, which will soon stream on Disney + Hotstar and Arshad Warsi will be seen in the lead role. Amidst the promotion of his series, the filmmaker has completely put an end to all the speculations and news which were claiming that he is going to join hands with superstar Ranbir Kapoor once again. Rajkumar Hirani termed these news as mere rumours, and clarified that he has no such plans at the moment.
Hirani dismisses news of biopic on an athlete
For quite some time, there was a strong buzz in the media circles and social media that Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor are coming together for a sports-biopic, which will be based on the life of a famous athlete. In some media reports, it was even claimed that due to the script being incomplete and the busy schedules of both of them, this project has been postponed till the year 2027. But now the director himself has come forward and rubbished all these claims.
‘Reading the newspaper shows which film I am making’
In a recent interview, when Rajkumar Hirani was asked about his upcoming project with Ranbir Kapoor, he laughed and said:
“No, this is absolutely not true. I am not working on any film with Ranbir right now. However, Ranbir is a great actor and I would love to work with him again in the future, provided I get the right story. Many times, I myself read in the newspapers and on the internet in the morning about what new film I am going to make and wonder where these news are coming from.”

The film received a lot of love from both the audience and critics and has an excellent rating of 7.6 on IMDb.
