To get this deal off the ground, US Trade Representative (USTR) Jamieson Greer is visiting India next week, where he will hold marathon one-on-one talks with officials of the Indian Commerce Ministry on the final draft of the proposed trade agreement.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri shared inside details of the meeting during a special media briefing held in Paris. He said that removing the trade deadlock was the most prominent discussion between the two heads of state and both have assigned the task to their negotiators to finalize this mega deal within the time limit.
