The country’s most prestigious and biggest medical entrance examination ‘NEET’ (NEET UG 2026) is being conducted today in various cities across the country. This year a record number of students are reaching the examination centers to fulfill their dream of becoming a doctor. But this time the biggest challenge is the scorching and scorching heat in most parts of the country. Keeping this severe weather in mind, the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the local administration have together made very unique and humane arrangements at the examination centers this time. This year, special arrangements have been made outside the centers to protect the students and their accompanying parents from the heat of the sun, which is being highly appreciated everywhere.
Relief from sunlight, special cooling zones created at examination centers
In view of this extreme heat, special ‘cooling zones’ have been prepared by setting up big tents just outside the examination centres. Powerful water coolers, mist fans and big fans have been installed in these zones so that students do not fall ill while standing in the queue for checking and entry. Along with this, to prevent dehydration (lack of water in the body), the administration is continuously distributing free cold compresses, ORS solution and glucose water. Voluntary arrangements of hot tea and breakfast have also been seen at some centers in the morning for parents and students coming from far-flung areas, which has eased the stressful environment of the examination to a great extent.
Local administration and social workers joined hands, medical teams at every nook and corner
This time the local administration has also geared up for the successful and safe conduct of the NEET exam. Municipal Corporation and Health Department teams are ready outside the big examination centers like Lucknow, Delhi, Jaipur and Patna. Ambulances and teams of doctors have been deployed near each center to provide immediate treatment in case of any emergency or deterioration in the health of the student. Apart from this, local social organizations and Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) have also come forward and arranged for water bottles and umbrellas, so that the parents waiting for their children in the scorching sun do not have to face any trouble.
Examination begins amid tight security, it is very important to follow the rules
Amidst these relief arrangements, strict arrangements have also been made regarding the cleanliness and security of the examination. There is a complete ban on carrying any kind of electronic gadget, digital watch, mobile phone or any prohibited material inside the examination centres. Students are allowed to carry only the admit card, a valid identity card (like Aadhar Card) and a transparent water bottle. Students are getting entry into the examination hall only after going through biometric verification and tight security. Examination analysts believe that such positive and cooling arrangements will reduce the mental stress of the students and they will be able to give their exams with a cool mind.
