LSG in tension despite victory against Gujarat, fear of injury to the team's most powerful bowler

Mayank Yadav : Yesterday in IPL 2024, a match was played between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans. In this match, LSG registered its third win by defeating Gujarat by 33 runs. But there is bad news for LSG's star fast bowler Mayank Yadav, who consistently bowls at a speed of 150 km per hour. This young fast bowler of Lucknow Super Giants has been injured. He walked off the field yesterday in the match against Gujarat Titans after bowling just one over. According to reports, Mayank is suffering from side strain injury. His bowling speed dropped from 157 kmph straight to 137 kmph. He bowled just one over in which he gave 13 runs including 3 fours.

Impressed everyone by bowling at a speed of 150 kilometers per hour.

Mayank Yadav came to bowl the fourth over of the second innings of the match, but could bowl at a speed of more than 140 kmph only twice in his overs and walked off the field with the team physio. This injury also forced him to remain on the bench during the Ranji Trophy season for Delhi. Mayank struggled with ankle and hamstring injuries throughout his career. He made his IPL debut this season against Punjab Kings and impressed everyone by bowling at a speed of 150 kmph.

Great West Indies bowler appealed for Mayank

In his second IPL match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mayank took three wickets for 14 runs while bowling the fastest ball of IPL 2024 at a speed of 156.7 kmph. He has taken 6 wickets in 2 matches so far. According to former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop, Mayank should be treated well. This is the initial stage of his career so he should be protected. If he bowls at such a fast pace then his body must be strong. Bishop said in the commentary, “Their franchise and the country's board need to pay attention to this. Australia saved Pat Cummins in his early years when he was injured with a lower back strain.”
