The sensitive case of alleged theft of offering money and valuables from the donation box of the grand and divine temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya has now reached the doorstep of the country’s top court. A special petition has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding this serious issue related to the religious faith of crores of Ram devotees and the identity of the country. In this petition, expressing dissatisfaction with the investigation by the local police administration, a strong demand has been made to immediately hand over the entire case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The petitioner has said in clear words that after these questions raised on the security and transparency of the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, the trust of the people of the country will be restored only when an impartial and independent central agency investigates it in depth.
Injury to the faith of crores of Ram devotees and serious questions raised on local security. The news of theft from the donation box of Ram Temple has not only raised questions on the management system of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, but has also deeply shocked the devotees coming from India and abroad. In the petition filed in the Supreme Court, it has been argued that the disappearance of donated money from a complex where the security system is claimed to be very modern and well-equipped indicates some major internal collusion. Expressing doubt over the scope and impartiality of the investigation being conducted at the local level, the Court has been urged to intervene and hand over the command to an independent investigation team or CBI so that the truth cannot be suppressed.
Petitioner bluntly tells Supreme Court why CBI investigation is so important The petitioner who approached the court has clarified in his application that every day common citizens from every corner of the country and the world donate a part of their hard-earned money in the donation box at the Ram Temple. Misusing or stealing this money is an unpardonable crime. Expressing fear of political or administrative pressure on the local police, he said that CBI investigation is the only way left to remove the doubt created in the minds of Ram devotees. The petition also demands that till the investigation is completed, a special committee should be formed under the supervision of a retired judge for the security and audit of the donation box.
Eyes set on Ram Janmabhoomi Trust’s response and further legal proceedings After this big case reached the Supreme Court, the administrative bustle has intensified from Ayodhya to Delhi. However, the officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust are still taking a cautious approach on this issue and they are continuously talking about cooperating with the police. Now the eyes of the entire country are fixed on the acceptance of this PIL by the Supreme Court and the first hearing on it. Legal experts believe that if the apex court orders a CBI investigation in view of the seriousness of this case, it may increase the problems of many big faces associated with the local security and management of Ayodhya.
