Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Keshav Prasad Maurya, while visiting Moradabad district today, while participating in various developmental, social and public welfare programs, gave the message of further strengthening the public welfare schemes of the state government and the resolve of self-reliant India.
Shri Maurya visited a shop run by a woman entrepreneur with the aim of promoting women empowerment and appreciated her efforts. He said that the Uttar Pradesh government is running many schemes to make women self-reliant and connect them with self-employment. The success of women entrepreneurs is a source of inspiration for the society and the state government stands with them at every level.
He also inaugurated the exhibition organized with the aim of promoting local products and handicrafts. While visiting the exhibition, he appreciated the products prepared by local artisans, self-help groups and entrepreneurs. He said that the mantra of ‘Vocal for Local’ is the result of the visionary thinking of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who has worked to give national and international recognition to local products. Moradabad is famous worldwide for its excellent brass industry and handicrafts and the state government is committed to promoting marketing and export of these products.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Maurya also honored the health workers who have done excellent work in the field of health services. He said that health workers play an important role in the service of the society and their loyalty and dedication in special circumstances is exemplary. He appreciated the contribution of all the health workers and wished them all the best for public service.
In his address, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the state government, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath, is doing unprecedented work in the fields of development, good governance, women empowerment, environmental protection, health and employment generation. The aim of the government is to create a self-reliant and developed Uttar Pradesh by connecting every section of the society with the mainstream of development.
