₹10 crore released for direct benefit to SHGs (SHGs), Keshav Maurya, migration will stop at local level, rural women and self-help groups

Taking an important decision towards promoting self-employment, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment in the rural areas of the state, ₹ 6 crore (Rs 600 lakh) and ₹ 4 crore as state share under the Mother Sanction issued by the Government of India for the operation of the program in the financial year 2026-27 for the Startup Village Entrepreneurship Program (SVEP) operated under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM). A total amount of ₹10 crore (including Rs.400 lakh) will be provided. After financial approval was given by the Finance Department subject to necessary tests and prescribed conditions, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya has approved the implementation of the scheme.

The Deputy Chief Minister has instructed the concerned officials to ensure the implementation of the scheme with transparency and quality, so that maximum eligible beneficiaries can get its benefits while achieving the set targets. He said that the priority of the government is to take rural development to new heights and make villages self-reliant and prosperous.

Expressing unwavering confidence, the Deputy Chief Minister said that through this financial assistance and strategic plan, there will be a qualitative increase in the income of thousands of rural families of the state. He said that Uttar Pradesh will emerge as a role model and leading state of the country in the field of rural entrepreneurship in the coming times.
