The construction work of this bridge was going on on Betwa river between Parsani and Kandaur villages under Lalpura police station area of ​​Hamirpur. After this horrific accident on Friday, on the complaint of State Bridge Corporation Deputy Project Manager Dilip Kumar, a case has been registered against the owner of the executing agency Pawan Pratap Singh and the main contractor Nitish Kumar at Kurara police station late night. Both of them are facing serious allegations of gross negligence in government work, ignoring safety standards and laxity. Police station in-charge Prince Dixit said that a case has been registered and in-depth investigation has been started and efforts are being made to arrest the culprits.

This heart-wrenching accident happened around 3 am on Friday, when all the workers were sleeping at the site or busy with work. Suddenly a strong storm came and a large part of the under construction bridge collapsed. Six deceased who lost their lives in this tragic accident have been identified as Lokendra (22 years), Kuldeep Nishad (19 years), Sawant Yadav (28 years), Sabhajeet (30 years), Pushpendra Chauhan (34 years) and Rajesh Pal (42 years). In this accident, three other workers Awadhesh Nishad, Kallu Yadav and Rajesh Nishad were seriously injured, who were rescued from the debris by the local administration and police and immediately admitted to the district hospital, where their treatment is going on.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep condolence over this tragic accident in Hamirpur. While consoling the families of the victims, the Chief Minister has given strict instructions to provide immediate financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the dependents of the deceased and Rs 50 thousand each to each worker injured in the accident. Special instructions to all District Magistrates of UP regarding the devastation caused by the storm
