Saharanpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hit out at the Congress-led opposition alliance in Uttar Pradesh, saying the Indian alliance works for a commission while the NDA government works for a mission. Along with this, he raised issues like triple talaq, Ram Mandir and described the election manifesto of Congress as the imprint of Muslim League. He said that Congress holds rallies not to win elections but to save corruption.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public meeting in Saharanpur on Saturday, targeted the Congress and Indi alliance. He said that for all the years Congress was in power, it gave priority to eating commission. The Indian alliance is for the commission while the NDA government is for the mission.
He said that the grand temple of Ramlala in Ayodhya has not been an election manifesto for us but our mission. It was also our mission to abolish Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, which has been completed. India has now become the fifth largest economy in the world. Building houses and toilets for the poor has been the priority of BJP.
He said that the abolition of triple talaq by our government not only benefited Muslim women but also saved Muslim families from breaking up. A woman is someone's mother and someone's sister. We have saved lakhs of Muslim families by ending triple talaq. BJP works on national policy, not politics.
Taking aim at the Congress manifesto, the Prime Minister said that the Congress manifesto completely bears the imprint of the Muslim League and whatever is left is dominated by the Left. There is no trace of the Congress that fought for freedom in the present Congress. That Congress had ended decades ago. The Congress that is left now neither has any policy in the interest of the country nor any vision for nation building.
