Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a big step to make the security and law and order of Uttar Pradesh more impenetrable. CM Yogi has given strict instructions to strengthen the Police Radio Department to make the state’s police system completely modern, safe and technology-driven.
During a high-level review meeting held on Sunday, the Chief Minister made it clear that privacy of the location, movement and mutual communication activities of the police is the top priority of the government. There should be no scope for any kind of technical breach or data leak at any level.
‘Central dashboard’ will be created for live monitoring of police stations
In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed to make a major technical change to ensure transparent and effective law and order:

Central Dashboard: To monitor the live footage of CCTV cameras installed in all the police stations of the state. Central Dashboard Will be developed. Through this, the activities of any police station can be seen live from Lucknow headquarters itself.

Detail of departmental structure: The departmental structure is being strengthened for better supervision. in this order dig radio eastern Headquartered in Azamgarh and dig radio western Serious consideration was given to setting up the headquarters of AIIMS in Aligarh.
Digital wireless service in 12 districts at a cost of ₹47 crore
While reviewing the new action plan for the financial year 2026-27, the officials informed the Chief Minister about the upcoming projects:

Digital Wireless Network: In 12 selected districts of the state Rs 47 crore State-of-the-art digital wireless services will be launched at a cost of Rs.

5G Filters and Masts: To improve portable communication, 5G Filters, self-supported masts and measuring equipment will be purchased for remote rural police stations.

Lucknow Commissionerate Upgrade: A proposal has been prepared to develop a special hand-held wireless communication system for Police Commissionerate, Lucknow.
Police Radio Department: Report Card of Modernization and Savings
It was informed in the meeting that in the last financial year, adoption of new technology and reverse auction process brought transparency in the purchase of equipment and the government got a huge saving of about Rs 1.23 crore.
Personnel data will be completely digital: ‘Manav Sampada Portal’
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to digitalize not only the equipment but also the human resource management of the police department:

Manav Sampada Portal: Complete data of all police personnel of Radio Department will be compulsorily updated on this portal.

Online Credentials: Character roll, leaves and other service related work of employees will now be conducted completely through digital medium. Character verification of the personnel will be done through the Superintendents of Police (SP) of the respective districts.

Upgradation Training: To keep pace with technological changes, employees will be given special training related to computer training, latest software apps and quality improvement of communication messages.
At the end of the meeting, the CM made it clear that before declaring old or obsolete wireless sets as junk, a mandatory technical testing should be done on them, so that no resources are misused.
