The race for admission to the two-year B.Ed course in Bihar is going to be very interesting and challenging this time. According to the data released by the State Nodal University, this year three candidates have direct claim for one B.Ed seat in Bihar. A total of 37,250 seats are available in the entire state, for which a record-breaking 1,23,327 students have applied. If you are also going to appear in this examination, then there is a very important update for you that the admit cards of the examination will be released on the official website from June 1.

Bihar B.Ed Combined Entrance Test (CET-BED) is being conducted in 11 selected cities of the state. The complete timetable from examination to counseling is as follows:

  • Modifying the Application (Edit Option): Students can make corrections in their forms till Saturday (today). On the very first day, 125 students have changed the spelling of their name, father’s name and examination centre. Many students have chosen the district near their home instead of distant centres.

  • Admit Card Download: Students will be able to download their admit card from June 1.

  • test date: The entrance examination for both B.Ed and Shiksha Shastri will be held on June 7.

  • Expected date of result: The result of the examination is expected to be declared on June 19.

  • Start of counselling: The process of online counseling will start from June 20 for the passing students.

Exam pattern and guidelines: 120 questions to be asked in 2 hours, no entry if late

Nodal officer of B.Ed entrance examination Prof. According to Sanjay Kumar, strict rules have been set regarding the examination which are mandatory for every candidate to follow:

  • Time: The exam will be of total two hours, which will run from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

  • Reporting Time: Entry into the examination center will not be allowed at any cost after 10:30 am. So make sure to reach before time.

  • Required Documents: Along with the admit card, carry a valid photo identity proof (like Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card or Passport etc.).

  • Number of Questions: The exam will be objective type, in which a total of 120 questions will be asked.

Interesting trend of applicants: Number of girls is more than boys, more in the age group of 28-30 years

A very interesting trend has been seen in this year’s applications. The number of women in the race to do B.Ed is much higher than that of men. Of the total applicants, 77,623 are girls, while the number of boys is 45,970. Apart from this, four transgender candidates have also applied.

In terms of age, youth aged between 28 to 30 years have filled the most forms, while experienced candidates aged 40 years and above have also submitted their claim to become teachers. Along with this, a total of 205 applications have been received this time for Shiksha Shastri course.
