The Chief Minister has issued special guidelines regarding the health department:

Essential medicines and beds: Adequate beds should be reserved in all government hospitals for the treatment of patients affected by heat stroke. Also there should be no shortage of essential medicines, IV fluids (ORS/Glucose).

Ambulance service activated: To deal with emergency situations, 24-hour availability of doctors and paramedical staff should be ensured and ambulance services should be kept fully active so that the patient can be taken to the hospital on time.

The Chief Minister has expressed concern about the safety of workers engaged in construction work under the open sky:

Provision of drinking water and shade: Arrangements for clean drinking water, shady places and first aid should be made mandatory for workers at all workplaces.

The Chief Minister has advised children, elderly and common citizens to adopt some important measures to protect themselves from the sun:

Do not send children out in the afternoon: Parents should not allow children to go out of the house unnecessarily during the afternoon and should keep them drinking adequate amount of water.

Selection of clothes: To avoid heat, wear light colored and loose cotton clothes, which help in keeping the body cool.

Attention to eating habits: Drink as much water as possible. Include beverages like ORS, lemonade, buttermilk in your diet and cover your head with cotton cloth or umbrella while going out in the sun.
Fire brigade alert regarding arson incidents
During the summer season, incidents of fire in fields, markets, warehouses and residential areas increase rapidly. Cautioning on this, CM Yogi said that even a small carelessness can lead to a major accident.
