Is Your Ceiling Fan Blowing Hot Air? Apply This Simple ‘Desi Jugaad’ to Your Table Fan and Get Cooling Air Just Like an Air Cooler. Ceiling fan spewing fire? Set this easy desi jugaad in table fan, you will get cool air like cooler.

Due to the intense sunlight and scorching heat of May-June, living indoors has become polluted and difficult. The situation becomes worse in the afternoon. To get relief from this terrible heat, it is not necessary that everyone has a huge budget to buy an air conditioner (AC) or a big cooler. At the same time, the ceiling fan also starts spewing fire in the afternoon, because due to direct sunlight, the roof of the house becomes very hot and the fan throws the same hot air downwards.

If you also do not have a cooler-AC, then do not worry at all. Even a simple table fan kept in your house can give you cool and relaxing air like a cooler. For this you just have to set up a small and very effective ‘desi jugaad’ at home. Let us know about this easy hack:

Jugaad number 1: ‘Ice hack’ of table fan and plastic bottle

If the air from your table fan feels as hot as heat wave, then with the help of plastic bottles lying in the junk, you can convert it into a homemade mini-cooler.

Required Materials:

  • Two empty plastic bottles (cold drink bottles would be best)

  • Ice Cubes

  • 2-3 teaspoons plain salt

  • thread or thin rope for tying

How to set up step-by-step:

  1. Cut the Bottle: First of all, open both the plastic bottles by cutting them at the bottom. Keep in mind, the lid side will remain at the bottom and the cut part will remain at the top, so that it can be refilled with ice again and again.

  2. Make holes in bottles: Now make many small holes in the middle of both the bottles with the help of a hot needle or nail. The fan will draw the cold air from the back only through these holes.

  3. Ice and salt mixture: Now fill ice cubes inside these bottles. Along with adding ice, also sprinkle some salt in it. (Science Tip: Adding salt lowers the melting point of ice, so the ice does not melt quickly and remains cold for a longer time.)

  4. Tie it on the fan like this: Now close the lids of the bottles tightly and blow them on the table fan. Back side (iron mesh) But straighten it and tie it. Keep in mind that the cut open part is upward.

Special precautions for safety: Set the bottles in such a way that the melting ice water or its drops do not fall on the fan motor or electrical wires, otherwise there can be a serious risk of short circuit or electric shock.

How does this work?

When you set this Jugaad and turn on the table fan, the fan will draw air from the back. Due to the ice in the bottles tied at the back and passing through the holes, the air will become completely cold and the fan will start blowing cooler air from the front.

Jugaad number 2: Hang a wet towel in front of the table fan

If you don’t have time to do the above, you can try another very quick method:

  • Method: Take a medium or thick towel and wet it completely with clean water. After this, squeeze it lightly so that water stops dripping.

  • How to use: Now hang this wet towel on a stand or net just ahead of the table fan (in the direction in which it blows air).

  • Bearing: When the hot air comes out after filtering through the fibers of this wet and cold towel, due to evaporation the temperature of the air will drop significantly and completely cool air will come into the room.

By adopting these two easy and free homegrown hacks, you can sleep peacefully this summer without increasing your electricity bill or buying a new cooler.
