This heart-wrenching incident took place in village Tengarha of Hanumanganj police station area. It is being told that 32 year old Rohit Chauhan was alone at home. When his mother returned from working in the fields, she screamed after seeing the sight inside the house. Rohit was lying on the ground in agony and his pants were completely stained with blood. He was hurriedly taken to the Community Health Center (CHC), from where the doctors after first aid, seeing his serious condition, sent him to the District Hospital and then to Gorakhpur Medical College.

The dispute was going on for 5 years, the wife had left the house two months ago.

Rohit’s father Jaglal Chauhan told that Rohit was married 13 years ago and has four children. There was a dispute going on between the husband and wife for the last 5 years due to financial constraints and other reasons. The dispute escalated so much that Rohit became addicted to alcohol. About two months ago, his wife left with her daughters and sent the sons to their maternal home. Rohit was continuously trying to call his wife back, but when her wife did not return, he went into deep depression.

According to family members, Rohit’s mental condition was unstable for a long time. He had taken suicidal steps several times before.
