The main attraction of this tour is the grand inauguration of ‘Ganga Expressway’, which will directly connect Western Uttar Pradesh to Prayagraj. Starting his journey from Varanasi, PM Modi is participating in programs related to Hardoi and Meerut-Prayagraj route. 12:30 PM: PM Modi inaugurates Ganga Expressway The Prime Minister officially inaugurated the 594 km long Ganga Expressway by pressing a button. During this time, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present with him. After the inauguration, the PM also took stock of the construction work and quality of the expressway.
11:45 AM: Had darshan of Baba Vishwanath in Varanasi. At the beginning of his tour, PM Modi reached Varanasi and attended the court of Baba Vishwanath. Here he inspected the corridor and reviewed the local development works.
10:30 AM: Air Force plane landed on the expressway During the inaugural programme, Indian Air Force fighter aircraft conducted a touch-and-go drill on the airstrip on the Ganga Expressway. Seeing this scene, the public present welcomed the PM with applause.
